Corinthian Spartan Brass Helmet

This type of helmet was especially popular in the Archaic period, the 8th to 6th century BC. Since the 5th century BC the Thracian helmet, which offered a wider field of view, was already favoured. The Corinthian helmet was generally made of brass and covered the whole head, while there was a small opening for the eyes and the mouth. Later on the helmet was used by the republican soldiers of Rome.

The helmet is suitable for a head circumference up to 62 cm and is made of 1,3 mm thick brass. It is delivered including leather inlay and a chin strap.
